Generation 2 Generation is a community-based organization that enables one generation to develop and empower another.  In collaboration with corporate and community partners and resources, G2G creates and manages programs designed to fill critical literacy and leadership gaps found among youth within urban communities and maximizes the capabilities and potential in youth.   

Vision/Mission

The vision for Generation 2 Generation Inc. is that program participants and sponsors will reach out via the G2G Link to access, participate in or contribute towards the success of the programs.  The primary mission for G2G Inc. is to be recognized as the premier and most relevant Youth Council, which will create new and innovative ways of developing academic, technical and leadership skills in youth.  These programs provide life readiness skills for teens and connect youth with effective community resources to prepare youth for success in school and work.

Community Link

A collaborative approach of G2G Inc., partnering with corporations, schools and government to launch and manage effective literacy and leadership development programs for youth. 

Youth Link

After-School Academic Support Programs; Leadership and Social Skills Development Track, including Protocol Training; alternatives to jail and community service programs.

Senior Link

Links into the G2G Mentoring Program, a vital resource which operates as a Web-based, interactive Virtual Information Center where senior mentors can link with youth, sharing wisdom for youth life issues.  As a pre-requisite, G2G senior participants are offered computer training to develop computer literacy skills that allow them to effectively interact and relate to youth.

Goals

1. -Mentoring and Education Coaching.
   

2. -Literacy workshops and seminars focusing on improving reading, math & science test scores.
   

3. -Computer Literacy Training Session.
   

4. -After school academic workshops to augment school offerings.
   

5. -Be a training and development center for youth programming for community youth leaders.
   

6. -Virtual Information Center (VIC):  Virtual youth access to informational links to provide direction for youth related issues. 
   

7. -“Wisdom On Demand” where seniors interact via chat rooms, providing opportunities for youth to receive wisdom on life issues.  One generation mentors another.
   

8. -Leadership development for Youth.
   

9. -Children and Youth Entrepreneurial Programs.
   

10. -“High School of Choice” Entrance Exam Testing and Training.
