ABOUT THE EVENT

ABOUT THE CAUSE

All net revenue generated by Jazz on the Grass is donated to the G2G College Scholarship Fund.

Generation 2 Generation (G2G) is a community-based organization that enables one generation to develop and empower another. In collaboration with corporate and community partners, G2G has established the G2G College Scholarship Fund. The G2G College Scholarship Fund aids high school graduates with their postgraduate education.

In its eight-year history, the G2G College Scholarship Fund has awarded aid to over 60 Michigan students, allowing them to attend colleges and universities across the United States.

Recipients receive up to a $1,000 scholarship toward a one-year study in their declared major. Each scholarship assists with the payment of tuition, books and other related costs.

As the G2G College Scholarship Fund grows, we look forward to helping high school students make their dream of having a college education a reality. You have a unique opportunity to enable the next generation of leaders by becoming a partner with the G2G College Scholarship Fund.

In today's economic crunch, finding things to do that the family can enjoy can be hard to find, not to mention affordable. But depending on your preferences, the old saying "The best things in life are free" still has meaning. If you're a lover of good music, fun times and a community atmosphere, then Jazz on the Grass is one event where you and your family need to be.

This is an event created and hosted by Family Victory Fellowship. Pastor Larry Jordan presents Jazz on the Grass on one night every year. And it's free. That’s right—free. There is no cost to the general public, and all are welcome to come and enjoy a wonderful evening of jazz and fellowship—even the kids. Yes, the kids can come! This is an event for the whole family. There will be local businesses on the grounds, and food and drink will be available. Jazz on the Grass is fast becoming a yearly expectation by jazz lovers all over Metro Detroit.

Jazz on the Grass is an annual outdoor community gathering, providing thousands in the Metro Detroit area with an enjoyable evening of live jazz and more.
